Mananum Bag-O Elementary School
Background
Situated less than a kilometer north from Mananum Daan Elementary School is Mananum Bag-o Elementary School, an institution that proudly bears the classification of School-Based Management Level 1 by the Department of Education. The student population is at 178 and two out of the seven working classrooms were donated by HOPE.
Students from Grades 4 and 5 use condemned classrooms while kindergarten students use the Home Economics Building. The fact that kindergarteners are too young to use the laboratories in the HE building prevents the school from maximizing their resources. Despite this and other challenges, the students show strong academic performance.
