In partnership with local government units and communities, HOPE identifies locations and provides nominated women micro-entrepreneurs with the infrastructure needed to buy and collect plastic waste from her community.
Community members sell their plastic waste to their Aling Tindera, who checks if they are empty, clean, and dry before baling and storing them!
Once the container vans are full, HOPE collects the plastic waste from the Aling Tindera locations.
The plastic waste is then taken to accredited processors who have been vetted for environmental compliance. Plastic waste is upcycled, recycled or responsibly used as an alternative energy source, ensuring it does not leak into nature.
