Now There’s a Future

Antonia Maghanoy is the general PTA President of Pangayawan Elementary School. She is a mother to five kids, two of them attending Pangayawan Elementary School. One of them, Roel John a boy, wants to work with airplanes. The other, Roen Jean, a girl, wants to be both a lawyer and an accountant. Like any other mother, she dreams that her children can live a better life.

Despite the hardship’s her family faces everyday , she is willing to do everything in her power to guarantee that her children have a bright future.

Her hopes for her children’s future rest on education. To her it is a means out of poverty. Like her and many other parents around the world, education to her is the doorway to opportunities. Yet, getting a good education has been a struggle. The school her children go to, has long been in a state of disrepair. The school, having been built in the 1970’s, has grown old and has barely been renovated through the years. The growing state of disrepair has left the students and the staff of the school with poor facilities. With its foundations rusting and rotting how could the students focus on their lessons if they must study in a place where its roof could collapse any minute?

All of that changed, in 2017. With the new classrooms HOPE built, the students and staff now have brightly painted and well ventilated classrooms.

With a new classroom, the safety and education of her children are guaranteed. Her dreams, her children’s dreams, are a step closer to becoming a reality.

Thank you for choosing HOPE! Because of heroes like you, more classrooms can be built to help thousands for mothers like Antonia Maghanoy.
