Background

Built in 2017, San Vicente Elementary School in Misamis Oriental has a student population of 207. The students come from a community whose primary means of living is coconut farming. Most of the classrooms are dilapidated and marked condemned; they have open ceilings and windows that allow water to enter, especially during the rainy season.

Of the six working classrooms, HOPE has built three of them.
