Background

Hornalan Elementary School was established in 2016 and is one of the furthest schools in Calamba, Laguna, situated in the middle of farmland. The school was handpicked as a beneficiary by the retail giant 7-Eleven.

Impact Stories

The classroom that HOPE donated is being used by preschool students, but has also served as a medical center. Even with just the one HOPE classroom that Hornalan received, the effect on the community has been substantial, with 168 students impacted since the classroom was established. Last academic year, 30 students were able to use the HOPE classroom, while the estimated number of students for the next academic year is 35. With COVID-19 restrictions easing as of writing, the school is hoping for a blended learning setup, with a combination of modular and face-to-face classes.
